Aims and Objectives:

• Promote science in the broader community by specific practical initiatives.
• Emphasize the workings of the scientific method and show how lay people can understand and benefit from 'the most important tool invented by humankind.'
• Enable people to use science to answer specific questions for themselves.
• To enable people to enjoy both using the tools of science and answering questions relevant to their daily needs.

 How are specific practical initiatives to be made?

- The first project will be a journal for non-professionally engaged science individuals. The journal will be produced quarterly and will financially support projects in natural science, engineering and technology, and natural history. The journal will be world-wide and special effort will be made to reach the developing world . The reason for this latter focus is because of the known under-representation of science in many regions of the world. An extraordinary wealth of human interest both from the developed world and the developing world will be stimulated. Equipment grants will be provided for selected individuals who apply to conduct specific studies. Amateur 'Nobel' type awards in several categories (to be announced) will be made every year. Criteria for definitions of what is amateur science and amateur scientist status so far as this project is concerned will be given.

- The second part of the project (further down the line) seeks to establish courses in science and supporting courses in humanities via the internet. These courses will be effectively free. A minor log-on fee and security fee alone will be charged. Degree level theory courses in science, related humanities , and applied science and technology will similarly be provided as a special e-learning programme. These programmes will similarly be free with only minor log-on/security charges.

Importantly science is tremendous fun and rewarding as it gradually develops a natural curiosity and deeper understanding of the world around us. From Astronomy to Zoology, the journey is stunning and incredible.

This sense of curiosity and enquiry lays dormant if not used*, all humans possess it, various factors in society cause it to stay relatively unused. Our project helps you to uncover, use, and enjoy this extraordinary mental ability. This tool is most expressed during scientific analysis, but other critical analysis techniques employ it also.
